二、招聘职位

密歇根州立大学土木与环境工程系招收一名博士生，由Irene Xagoraraki教授指导，研究环境监测对传染病爆发的预测。该博士生将参与一个资助项目，重点是识别和预测底特律市以及韦恩、马科姆和奥克兰县的疫情。这是一个与当地卫生部门、大湖区水务局和密歇根州卫生与公众服务部高度合作的项目。该职位将涉及实验室工作和计算分析，理想的候选人将具有较强的分子微生物学和生物信息学技能。

A research assistant position for a PhD student is available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University under the supervision of Prof. Irene Xagoraraki to study environmental surveillance for prediction of infectious outbreaks. The PhD student will work on a funded project focused on identification and prediction of outbreaks in the City of Detroit and Wayne, Macomb and Oakland Counties. This is a highly collaborative project with the local health departments, the Great Lakes Water Authority, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. This position will involve lab work and computational analyses, and the ideal candidate will have strong molecular microbiology and bioinformatics skills.

• BS and MS degrees in Environmental Engineering or other Engineering discipline

• Significant experience in molecular microbiology laboratory work

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work well in a team setting and be highly self-motivated

• Strong molecular microbiology and bioinformatics analysis skills

• MS degree from US institution
